Binghi Station Located approximately 4.5hours from Brisbane, Queensland, or 1.5 hour drive west of Tenterfield, New South Wales. Binghi Station, once a large sheep station, was a thriving tin and gem mine from the late 1800 to mid 1900. Set on 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and untouched overgrowth of lush tea tree bushlands, the sheer beauty of the land will, without a doubt, leave you breathless of its raw natural beauty. Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s. You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. We strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is rugged and very bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. The Secret Gorge site is suited to swags, tents and camper trailers. It is not suited for Caravans over 15' due to a tight corner. Other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

Definitely need a 4x4 and is a great peaceful stay. The owner is a really nice and accommodating bloke. The property is huge with an abundance of things to do and see. Definitely will go back again.

Peaceful camping area. Remote and secluded feel to the property. Definitely need 4wd to access. Great place to spend time unwinding off the grid. Probably need at least 3 or 4 days to appreciate the solitude and beauty of the area.

Peaceful.
Great location, loved the old tin mine and stamper battery.. Only negative was the sloping camp-site, great views.

Beautiful and relaxing get away!
Binghi Station is a beautiful well kept property. We had a wonderful time, swimming, relaxing by the camp fire and star gazing into the night. Very quiet and well space sites. Definitely need 4wd in spots. It was great to be able to purchase firewood - saves having to bring your own. Dog friendly however there are sheep that graze around the sheep paddock campsite so be mindful of the on leash rule around that area, although our chocolate lab was more interested in sleeping and avoiding the sheep. Will definitely come back, it was a great get away. Thanks Adrian for the wonderful time.

Booked in and had to cancel. Contacted the host well in advance to let them know and get a refund/credit. Seemed like a nice guy but could not help me. Was told to contact Hipcamp as he did not know how to do a credit. Contacted Hipcamp through their website and they just ignored me, no response at all. Very poor service, disappointed in Hipcamp.
