A perfect oasis just outside Toogoolawah.
Peaceful and immaculate areas on a lovely creek with friendly horses.
We went to the pub for dinner, Friday night raffle, great local atmosphere.
Took our bikes and did an hour of the Brisbane Valley rail trail.
A perfect weekend.
Liz is fabulous… so is her Dad ☺️
Just a tranquil beautiful place, to get away from the rat race. This was our 10th trip and will definitely be back …. once again thank you so much Elizabeth for making our Easter so special. 🐣🐣🐣
This was our 10th trip to Jack place & what a wonderful Easter weekend we had. Elizabeth went over and above and made it so special for everyone.
She was our Easter Bunny delivery goodies to all the campers, to top it off a coffee van came in with freshly made coffee and bacon & egg burgers, such a great idea NO cooking breakfast. Thanks so much Elizabeth.
We loved loved loved our stay at Jacks place 💕
Total peace and quiet, immaculate grounds.
Liz was amazing, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Her Pa delivered the wood we needed and let us borrow the little crab nets.
We fed the friendly horses our apples and we loved watching the ducks on the creek.
We stayed two nights just to escape the city.
It was perfect. 💕
We have stayed several times now and will continue to come back. Stayed over Easter weekend and the Easter bunny even made an appearance. Coffee van and bacon and egg rolls were made available on the day too. Nice and quiet and large sites. Caught a few red claw too.
The host was friendly, it was quite and peaceful , very relaxing environment and as a family enjoyed patting the horse's and our son had a swim in the creek.
Jack's place was lovely, hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure Easter was special for the kids . Site was spacious for our 7 setups and nicely mowed.
Close to Brisbane, peace and quiet, lovely large grassed flat sites well spread out. Norm very helpful - even bought down some yabby pots for me to use!
Price is also a big bonus. Dump point and fresh water not too far away at Toogoolawah.
Absolutely amazing stay, booked extra night, the scenery, animal wildlife, owners, just fantastic, big sites, running creek, parachuters falling out of sky, can’t rave enough about it, great little find, will be back
This was our 3rd attempt, after bad wearher, and Jack's Place was beautiful. We were guided in by Norm, and went straight to our camp. Set up was met by 2 horses who made us feel welcomed. We had a fire next to the creek and relaxed for 4 days. Firewood also available. It is very hot in summer.
Will be coming back in the winter
We had two nights here. It was quiet and peaceful. Exactly what we needed. The camp sites were clean and well looked after. Plenty of space, no neighbours! A truly beautiful spot.
Jack's Place was our first experience with a Hip Camp. We would have to say it was a great experience. It is a bit over one hour north west of Ipswich. The site were huge. Our host Elizabeth was inviting. We had a couple of four legged locals come and say hello. It is a great little base for a short or long getaway. Would definitely recommend at only $13/night off grid camping.
Spacious grassed sites, freshly mowed before we arrived. We enjoyed the abundance of shady trees and swimming in the freshwater creek. Liz, our host is extremely friendly and helpful. A nice quiet spot.
What an amazing find! Spacious and secluded campsites. You'll no doubt be visited by the 2 horses that roam the property. Would highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a nice quiet escape. We'll definitely be back
Top location, Norm met us at the gate and took us to our spot on his trusty rider mower. Beautiful spot. Very peaceful 1 neighbour about 100 metres away. Elizabeth and Norm were great hosts.
Such a quiet, epic spot to chill for a couple of days. Horses were super inquisitive and Norm was very friendly. Went out of his way for us! Even took us down the paddock to spot a koala that he had seen earlier.
Kids had a ball in the creek.
We were lucky enough to catch the toogoolawah Christmas street party which was also a lot of fun.
Had a nice, quiet little camp-site with views of a creek with plenty of birds and a couple of horses that liked to pay us a visit every now and then. Highly recommend especially how close to Brisbane it is.
Had a lovely time camping at "Jack's Place". There was plenty of room, level ground & it's a beautiful place to appreciate nature. My dog & I had a visit from some horses, very tame, as well as some kangaroos at dusk. Great communication with hosts. Highly recommend the experience.
