Enjoy an elevated camping experience on a private creek near Max Patch, a popular hiking destination with 360 degree views adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. Surround yourself in nature, escape reality and relax with the sounds of babbling creeks and birds chirping. The property is at 3,600 ft elevation and it's typically 10 degrees cooler than Asheville and Waynesville, so bring a sweater in the cooler months! There are 2 rentals on this property, and any renters have access to the first floor barn which has a half-bath and refrigerator. The camping platform is 16 x 10, and is steps away from a fire pit and the creek. Renters will have exclusive, private access to this area. The RV is parked next to the host house and offers privacy and the comforts of home. AC and Heat, Queen sized bed, and a TV with DVD player. There is a fire pit and seating area near the RV, which will be exclusive to RV renters.16 x 10 camping platform overlooking a babbling creek and fire pit with access to half-bath and refrigerator at main house. Immerse yourself in nature, but with the comforts of home. Less than 30 mins from Max Patch Trail Head, 35 mins from Downtown Waynesville and Canton. There are 2 private roads on either side of the campsite but traffic is minimal. Bees onsite - there are 2 honey bee hives on the property.

Creekside Camping Max Patch

perfect base camp

This is such a great campsite way up in the mountains. It is about 45 minutes from asheville and is along a quiet dirt road. The site is located across the road from the hosts house and is hidden down by the creek. There is a large platform for your tent and there is a nice fire ring with chairs. There is a path though the woods that takes you to another patio seating area next to the stream. There is a bathroom in the garage and even access to a refrigerator if you need to keep your food cold. Max Patch and so many more trails and mountains are close by making this the perfect basecamp. The host was very kind and mede me feel welcomed. Definitely a 10/10 site

We loved camping on Jess’s land! She was an amazing host with a beautiful property!!! It was secluded and peaceful! She made sure we had everything we needed and was amazing!! We already want to make plans to stay again!!

RV at Max Patch

Jess was super kind - a great host. Her location was convenient for what we want to do- as close as you're going to get to nature in that area without just tent camping.
