Way Way Getaway

Sam was a great host, very accommodating and easy to communicate with. There was plenty of room on site 6 for our 19ft van, we could have even remained hitched. Nice and peaceful location and only 3 minute drive to Scotts Head beach. We enjoyed the peace for a few nights away from the chaos of caravan parks. Will definitely return.

We had such a beautiful stay at Way Way Getaway. From the moment we arrived, Mel made us feel so welcome. She’s just such a kind and caring person. You can really feel the love Sam has put into creating this place. It’s peaceful, relaxed, and just a joy to be in. Our son absolutely loved playing fetch with Rufus all day, that was definitely a highlight for him! It was also so nice to see other dogs there, all well behaved and adding to the relaxed atmosphere. We spent a lot of time on the grassy area by the camp kitchen, surrounded by trees. There is always a perfect spot for the hammock. Such a special place, we’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Sam and Mel 🙏

What a gem of a spot this was! We had a bush camp - good amount of space & privacy :D but the best thing is the location… SO close to beautiful beaches and very friendly surf. Great little cafe, foodworks & essentials just a couple of minutes away. While we stayed there was a gorgeous market in the park right by the beach too. It was honestly perfect! As long as you’re self-contained it’s a really really great camping spot I briefly met one of the hosts who was super friendly and relaxed, and when I messaged before we arrived I got a speedy and helpful response!

Sam's camping site at Way Way for our little group of friends to catch-up. Very quiet, not far from the beach and town, perfect for us to sit and chat around the evening fire. Glad that the number of sites was limited to what it is. Although the amenities were basic they worked and were all we needed. We'd be happy to stay there again if the opportunity arises.

We had such a lovely stay at this Hipcamp. The location is fantastic - nice and close to Scotts Head and so many other beautiful beaches, which made exploring the area really easy and enjoyable. One of the highlights for us was the shower facility, which was a really pleasant surprise and added an extra level of comfort to our stay. Overall, a peaceful and well-located spot that we’d happily return to. Highly recommend!

Way Way Getaway is the perfect little bush camp right next to the stunning Scotts Head coast. My partner and I stayed 3 nights in camp site 6. It was quiet and felt private with the best part being only a 2 minute drive from the beach! Sam, the owner was super responsive. Would recommend.

Beautiful camp for surf/fishing!

Site 6 was great! Plenty of space, easy to access and incredibly peaceful. This was a great base camp for us as we fished and surfed in the surrounding areas. Scott’s head is a quick 3 minute drive, with a gorgeous beach area and township. Just a quick tip for other fishers/campers, pre buy your firewood and bait before coming here as the local township doesn’t have these amenities but you can get these 20 minutes away if you need also. Our dog also loved his time here! Sam was brilliant to deal with. Will definitely be back!

Amazing bush spot, beach mins away.

A nice simple bush spot on their beautiful property only minutes to the gorgeous Scott's Head. We enjoyed being remote but not. It feels like your in the middle of nowhere bush but can hear the waves ofvthe ocean. Had a nice camp fire and our dogs were happy to wonder around, they love it. If your self contained and want a break from the caravan parks and privacy this is perfect.

Way Way retreat was well priced, so easy to book and go to after a last minute booking. The spot was quiet clean and so beautiful with the surrounding bush land and animals coming out to do their thing in the night and early morning. Site 7 is unpowered and off the grid which suited us perfectly! Would 100 percent recommend.

I almost didn’t want to leave a review because this place feels like one of those spots you want to keep to yourself. But it would be unfair not to. A beautiful, safe, and quiet space with plenty of room and all the facilities you need. The location is phenomenal, and the hosts are relaxed and easy to deal with. I genuinely felt relaxed the entire time I was here which is rare. I’ll definitely be returning many more times in the future.

We loved this peaceful bush camping site. Very chilled. It was close enough for a quick drive to the beach/town but far enough away to be surrounded by birds and nature. We camped at sites 1-5 and their was plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The camp kitchen was great when we had some rain and the compost toilet was clean and non-stinky! (Bring some toilet paper as it may run out) Will be returning again for another surf holiday.

We had a great few days at Way Way. Bush site 6 was perfect; really large and private. It was so peaceful. We felt like we were in the bush on our own but then it was only a few minutes drive to beautiful Scott’s head with its thriving little town and magnificent beaches. Thanks Sam! We will definitely be back.

Great private site at site 6, just off the track. Trees all around and less than 5mins drive from Scotts head. We only stayed 1 night but would definitely stay again if passing through. The Hilux had to work abit to get our 19ft caravan up the hill on entry, would not want to be pulling a caravan any bigger on gravel road.

This spot was a convenient place to stay—perfect for day trips and having a solid base to come back to in the evenings. Sam had everything we needed to reset after a day of surfing, including warm showers and a communal kitchen if we needed it. Would recommend

This was a lovely campsite that was near to Scott’s Head. 2 super friendly dogs welcomed us on arrival. There was a camp kitchen with fridge and seating area, clean drop toilet, and shower. Would definitely stay here again
