Karla's Hummingbird Guest Ranch

6 sites · RVs, Tents8 acres · Huachuca City, AZ
Welcome to Karla's Hummingbird Guest Ranch! This is my own horse property. I have 3 horses and lots of local birds hang out here. I offer 2 full hook-up spaces, there is a cover for one space. An RV must be under 12' to fit under the cover. I offer 3 dry camping options. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. I have 2 cabanas you can set up near or inside. Or you can park someplace farther away if you like. One cabana is weather-proof. One cabana has a fire pit. There is a restroom/breakfast room off the pool area. The pool and pool house are available for your enjoyment. I also have walking trails here. This is my private property, it is safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff. You may have coffee with my horses if you like. There is a place to sit in the barn. They will munch hay and look at you. But please follow my instructions about which ones you may pet, and ask me before you feed them anything. Thank you. You may also sit by the arena and watch horses. Please feel free to walk around and enjoy the property! At night you will hear coyotes, you might see javilina. I've seen a bobcat a few times. There are lots of birds and some rabbits. I share it with the local wildlife. I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10. My place is 10 minutes from Coronado National Forest. The property is tranquil, peaceful, and quiet. We have beautiful sunsets and views all around. You will see a lot of quail and other birds on the property. There are 2 varieties of quail who visit daily. And you will see Desert Cardinals, Cactus Wrens, Curved Billed Thrashers and all the song birds. My neighbours and I all have 4 acres minimum so no one is super close by. You can come here, walk or bike around, and walk your pets without being bothered by other dogs. This is a very safe and comfortable place for solo campers and families to enjoy! My ranch has a friendly, family-style vibe. This is staying at your friend's place. Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. A clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are available for your use. Each tent, and/or a place where people sleep is a campsite. In other words you can't book 1 tent camping site then have your friends come also in their vehicle and camp in their tent. That is 2 campers. Important! Please don't post any photos of my place on my listing or in your review. I can't remove them.

Vineyard Hipcamp

10 sites · RVs, Tents36 acres · Mc Neal, AZ
Our first introduction to the wine and vineyard industry came when a now fellow colleague greeted us wearing a t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops. Thoroughly enjoying the idea of wearing this “work suit” every day, High Lonesome Vineyard went from a concept to reality. Located only 20 miles east of Tombstone, Arizona and 8 miles southwest of Elfrida, Arizona, High Lonesome Vineyard consists of approximately 36 acres of rich sandy loam in a fertile valley surrounded by mountains on all directions. And at an elevation of about 4,300 feet, the area experiences a four-season climate with summer temperatures seldom exceeding 100 degrees. Hikers, bird watchers and nature loving folks come to this area every year just for the warm summer breezes and clear night skies. This area also boasts of spectacular views of the early morning rising sun and incredible sunsets.  Come enjoy rustic camping here in the Vineyard Hipcamp area and experience the awesomeness that southeastern Arizona has to offer.Learn more about this land:Come camp next to a working vineyard with exceptional views of the desert sky.  You pick your spot as long as it is not directly in the vineyard, and enjoy the peaceful and tranquil sounds of the desert wildlife. High Lonesome Vineyard is located about 20 miles southeast of Tombstone, Arizona and 8 miles west of Elfrida, Arizona. You can easily commute to Tombstone to see the legends of the old west or drive on over to Elfrida/Gleeson area and see the old mining ghost towns. If active mining is your thing, visit Bisbee which is only 25 minutes away. Also, with a working cattle ranch nearby, take the opportunity to visit and see the daily workings of one of southeast Arizona's biggest ranches. A visit to the ranch is for a nominal fee and subject to availability. Wine tastings are also available for a small fee in addition to the camping fee. We have 6 German Shepherds that do what they do as guard dogs, bark when alerted. We take extra steps to keep the dogs quite for you at night during your stay, but its a high probability they will bark at you.

Harry and Barbara’s Windmill

3 sites · Lodging, Tents20 acres · Mc Neal, AZ
We purchased our 20 acre homestead 12 years ago. It had 100 year old windmill and we named the property ‘Windmill’. All structures were abandoned and unlivable at that time , the land had been overgrazed for decades. The saving grace was the water well, which produces sweet ,clear abundant 75 degree water so we new it was thermal spring water. Since buying the property we concentrated on restoring the land first ,bringing it back to its native beauty. Year round vegetable garden, honeybees, orchard and small vineyard followed suit. The adobe home and outbuildings and Sandhill (Crane) casita are restored with all recycle materials from the property. The 1.5 mile nature trail through grassland yucca mesquite landscape provides solitude and 360 degree views Sand over 150 mile view shed of the sky islands in US and Mexico. Along with our four children, this property is the joy of our lives.Learn more about this land:Flat, well maintained, Paved road accesses our 20 acre private wildlife sanctuary. Boundary of Chihuahua and upper Sonoran deserts , 4100 feet, high desert, yucca , mesquite, grasslands. One of the top migratory birding regions in North America. Excellent windmill pumped water and a 1.5 mile walking nature trail. Heated and cooled casita (sleeps 2). Camping near Bisbee guide

Overview

Western heritage meets desert mountain landscapes in the old mining town of Bisbee. Tucked away in Southern Arizona—right across the border from Mexico—it's a haven for year-round camping. Driving a big rig? Get stoked about the trove of RV parks with full hookups around Bisbee (not to mention nearby Tombstone, McNeal, and Naco). If tent camping is more your style, drive past Sierra Vista to the Coronado National Forest. Cacti, rocky canyons, and rugged mountains lie just beyond your campfire. For s'more fun, hike or mountain bike the Chiricahua or Cochise Mountains. When the Arizona sun is beating down, cool off underground at Kartchner Caverns State Park. Explore a massive limestone cave--home the longest stalactite formation on the planet. Want to see the famous cave bats flying overhead? Spend the night at one of the RV sites, tent sites, or camper cabins. Bisbee's semi-arid climate makes for excellent camping weather in every season. But for bright and sunny days, avoid late summer and early fall—the height of monsoon season. The severe desert thunderstorms can put a damper on any camping trip.
