Joshua Tree National Park and it's surrounding area is Wild , Beautiful, and has spectacular Sunsets. I live in a very quiet, rural, neigborhood. This serene location offers endless panoramic views across the high desert, from Sand to Snow. Sunsets can be extraordinary. The night scenes are spectacular in a full moon. Hiking and walking trails abound. It is located 6.9 miles from the vehicle entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. If you are hikers you can enter the park half a mile from my property. The village of Joshua Tree is close by. There is water and a septic hook up at the site. The driveway circles the house so you can back in or pull into and out of the RV space easily. The RV space is 60' x18'. It is flat. There is room for RV slides and outside furniture. The street leading to my property is paved. My driveway and your space is gravel. So be sure your vehecles have 4wheel drive and can traverse gravel without a problem. I live in a small house about 30 yards from your parking spot. My lot is over 2 acres. You need to supply your own electric. You can run a generator at most day times. No charcoal grills or camp fires are allowed due to desert conditions. Adults may use a propane grill or firepit as long as it is not left unattended when on. FIRE PITS are allowed if they are propane with a screen on top. You may not leave a fire pit unattended. It is quite windy here. A stray spark can cause a rapid fire. Dry Desert material may land on top of a sceen at any time starting a fire. There is good reception for Att and Verizon cellular phones. I am unable to provide internet at the RV space. This invitation is for self-contained RVs, Travel trailers, or Vans with a bathroom. There is space for tent camping if accompanied by an RV. Campers must use the RV Bathroom. There is a $10 charge per night per tent. Dogs are welcome with an additional $7 per night, per dog. If you have more than one vehicle there is an additional $10 dollar charge per night. There is a reduced fee for campers who stay 7 days or longer. You may text or email with any questions. We loved camping in our ‘29 ft airstream on Susan’s land. The location to Joshua Tree (the town) is amazing, the neighborhood is quiet and the view is gorgeous. The water and sewer hook ups were great. Plenty of sun to power the solar panels.

We stayed 2 nights to explore Joshua Tree National park. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is very close to one of the park entrances, so was a very convenient location. The water and septic hookups were really helpful. Susan sent recommendations for hikes in the area.

This is a perfectly safe and quiet place to spend the night. The septic tank was a plus. Just keep in mind you’re camping in the extended driveway of an home, and there is no picnic table or anything of that nature aside from that, it’s very convenient to Joshua national tree park, and does have Joshua trees on the property.

Peace and quiet under the stars!

If you are interested in a very private RV stay very near Joshua Tree this is the place. There is no electric but we are fully solar so that did not affect us at all. We absolutely enjoyed the stay here it was private and quiet and the hook up site was level and had great views of the valley below. There are hiking trails nearby and the park is a short drive away. Susan was a wonderful host and let us have a nice private stay on her property. I would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend the place.

The place to be!

This is a beautiful property in perfect proximity to JTNP. Avoid the crowds of the campground and enjoy hiking and biking out your back door. Out the front are wonderful views over looking the town of Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley. Susan the host is very nice and she provides easy instructions on how to access all of your outdoor activities. The only suggestion would be to cut about 3” off of the black/gray tank pipe to accommodate the slight angle of the parking area.

Great site

This was our first Hipcamp experience and it was great. The owner greeted us and then left us to set up and enjoy the space. We have a 20’ camper van so I don’t know how navigating the site would be with anything larger. The setting is a quiet neighborhood and the long distance views are fabulous. Excellent experience.

Fantastic RV camping

We absolutely loved staying on Susan's land. It didn't at all feel like we were on someone's property in the sense that we enjoyed privacy and outside our doors and windows were beautiful views. Susan was welcoming and kind. It was so convenient to have water hookup and sewage hookup. We came and went every day and it was easy to pull around the house and into our spot. Highly recommend as the location was centrally located to all the cool Spots in the area.

Lovely, quiet camp

A lovely, peaceful and quiet place to stay with tons of wildlife, including coyotes, rabbits, and hawks. Great walks with dogs right from the property and easy access to the park. Our host was wonderful and thoughtfully offered lots of information about nearby hikes, biking trails and restaurants. FYI the water connection is on the other side from the dump so bring a long water hose. We definitely recommend this hipcamp.

Camping near Joshua Tree NP

Great location very close to the entrance of JTNP! We really loved having water and sewer hookups. Susan was communicative and gave us great video and photo directions. There was plenty of room for us when parked (For reference we have a 31’ airstream trailer with a heavy duty truck). Our trailer had a nice view of some cacti and Joshua trees right out our front door!

Kind hosts and ideal location

This spot is a great location for exploring the park, Joshua Tree (the town) and Yucca Valley. We even did a day trip out to Palm Springs. Susan was a wonderful host and very eager to help us get situated and in-the-know about the area. We even arrived with a solar issue and had to run the generator until about 10pm the night we arrived, and she was very kind about it all. We have a 40ft fifth wheel, pulled by a long bed dually. Getting around the house and into the spot was tight, but manageable. The gravel is deep in some spots, and there is a small slope on the driveway as you enter/exit. With the truck in 4WD we had a little issue getting out, but we made it. I would not do this with a long rig without the 4WD, for sure. Susan preferred us to not drive backward on the gravel, but to round the house every time we came in. It was a little difficult because we didn't pull our rig up for that...so you might consider pulling up into the space as far as you can so you can park behind your rig and not in front of it. We couldn't do that even if we wanted to because the sewer hose would not have reached...but if we could have, that would have been better. Just a note for future campers. Also, there is no internet available. When we made this listing it said there was. Not sure if she's made that change on the post. Most of the time our Verizon worked ok, but we had to make special accommodations for work because there is no internet. So...of you're full time on the road and working like we are, just take note that Verizon ebbs and flows here. Overall, a great place. Two thumbs up on the spot and the hosts, especially for smaller rigs. Larger rigs... just be cautions of the turn around the house and the uphill gravel exit.

This is a great spot if you're simply looking to park an RV. The property was great and host was friendly/helpful. Only complaint is that there isn't a ton of room to spread out but enough for a table and some chairs. Beautiful views and easy access to Joshua Tree Park. Overall, great experience.

Lovely, level, graveled spot with water and sewer. Nice view across the valley and great sunset opportunities. Location is good : just up the hill from Joshua Tree Saloon and 6 miles from JTNP entrance. Access is easy once you pay attention to host instructions.

This was our first Hipcamp experience (and actually, our very first ever overnight stay in our borrowed RV), and it was fantastic! Directions to access were super clear and amenities all as advertised. Perfect location with easy access to the park and surrounding towns. Nice and quiet, and the views during sunset and sunrise were just stunning! Such a nice way experience Joshua Tree!
