Wavecrest is 87 acres of protected natural habitat. Any trail gently meanders to the ocean cliffs and to the coastal trail for miles of walking or biking. Local vet owns the ranch next door where you see some beautiful horses, chickens and rescue animals. A hundred-fifty yards from Highway One. And south is Ritz Carlton HMB Golf Course. North is a ten minute walk to Main Street.WELCOME, location is in Wavecrest open space coastal wildlife area. An RV spot off private road on S. Highway One. Your parking space is very large. Wi-Fi and Garbage/Recycle cans available but no hookups provided. East view of ocean and 20 minute walk to bluff tops. Hundreds of bird species migrate through this area year round. Many other wild animals call this home also. You will also find an abundance of seasonal wildflowers and wild berries year round. Lots of music festivals to visit and Pumpkin Festival is a grand yearly event in October. Best price fuel on the coast at More-for-less gas station and Kelly State Beach for your pump-out station just one mile north. Any dirt trail taken from the parking area is a 20 minute walk meandering to the ocean bluffs and will cross-over the coastal trail that runs north and south for miles of coastal viewing that offers rare bird watching and ocean life experiences. Biking is very popular along this trail. Across highway One is the Johnston House, Higgins Canyon Park for hiking up the hill and view the vast open space below. Parking spot is located one-hundred fifty feet off South Highway One, a 20 minute walk to Main Street, Camerons Pub or Higgins Canyon Wilderness area. Next-door to a veterinary ranch with horses chickens and rescue animals. *You may hear rooster in the morning also a bright light at night keeps cougars and coyotes away. Many deer frequent the properties at night. South 10 minutes to Ritz Carlton and Half Moon Bay Gulf Links. Closest kayak ‘put out’ is best from Cowel Ranch State Beach a 1.5 miles south south on highway one. The pillar Point Harbor is on the coastal trail 6.5 miles north. No pets please. Noise curfew is sundown. No parties in this location. No generators please. Do not leave food or unclean cooking grills outdoors at night. Using a portable bbq pit okay except on no burn nights keep your fire-pit on the parking gravel to avoid any possibility of sparks catching grass on-fire. Empty ash in metal trash receptacle only. Please respect surrounding wildlife, ranch and homes.
