This was a 55-acre farm, split in half to accommodate a bypass through Charlottesville, so the previous owners had to give up half the land, and actually moved the house down to the other half of the property! They had to build a land bridge to get to the new home site, so they turned the bridge into a dam and created a beautiful large swimming pond, complete with beach and gazebo. My wife Stephanie and I bought the property in early 2017 and have turned it into a private horse farm, adding pastures, a riding ring, and 6-stall barn. There are ~21 horses who live on the property. The property is unique in that you can hardly see another house from anywhere on the property and yet we are only 2 miles from Barracks Rd. Shopping Center, and 4 miles from the University of Virginia.

Site 5 - Ridgetop meadow

Wonderful spot and hosts.

What a beautiful spot, close to Charlottesville! Bob was super responsive and very accurate in his descriptions of the property. It really is all that he portrays! We parked our 4x4 camper in site 5 and we had both privacy and a terrific view of the horses. Bring something to level your camper. It was only off by 3% but helps to have a level surface.

Site 6 - Remote tent site

Loved camping here! First time camping on a farm and it was beautiful. Very peaceful with the horses in the pasture, and secluded nature all around. Saw 2 other couples while we there, all polite and happy to be camping. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back to camp here. Really close to downtown too! We stayed in spot 6 (the most secluded) and it was perfect. Made a fire and didn’t feel like we were sleeping near anyone (like a lot of crowded campgrounds). Awesome place!!! 11/10

Site 5 - Ridgetop meadow

We really enjoyed site 5! The view was amazing and the site was very spacious. It’s at the top of the farm under a really nice sycamore tree. We didn’t use the bathroom there but we did drive by to see it. It looked great. Bob was very friendly with all my questions! I would definitely come back again!

Site 6 - Remote tent site

Close to Charlottesville

Awesome spot! Only downfall was not having a table at the site as advertised, but we made it work no problem. Would return!
