Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at a accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is a alternative. We produce much of our own food. We own a sawmill, and have many natural building projects started. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive. A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed.

Site 4 Magic Forest Far Forget-Me-Not Spot

Cozy little spot

This trip was a birthday present for my gf. She has been wanting to go back to Kaaterskill Falls as well as a few other nearby places. I wasn’t sure if find the right spot until I found this place. It is a cozy little spot that had everything we needed. We saw a bunch of animals including beautiful peacocks. Definitely want to visit this spot again.

Site 2 - Magic Forest Farm Camp

From what we could see, all of the sites at Magic Forest Farm were relatively secluded and definitely spaced out very well. We stayed at Site 2, and felt alone in the woods, flush with leaf litter and branches. The portapotties were a short walk away and quite clean, and the firewood was conveniently right at the entrance to the campsites. The farm itself was lovely and filled with peacocks, chickens, goats, pigs and horses! Definitely felt magical to roll through and see them littered around the rustic landscape. Hosts were available but let us keep to ourselves. This was a great getaway spot for solitude and magic.

Hidden gem in the woods

Love this site and area. This was our second time staying and we loved it just as much as the first. Site is in a beautiful location, clear view of the stars, and positioned close to the trails on the property. Highly recommend the site, hoping to be back this summer!
