Hummingbird Hollow Farm Sanctuary
Pros: Susan communicated well, great creek for wading with dogs, and pretty property. Adorable animals, and easy to navigate site with our pop-up camper.
Cons: lots of poop from horses, goats, pigs, geese, etc. We knew it was an active farm but didn't realize we'd be staying in the pasture with most of the animals roaming free. The rooster was crowing early and often for hours. We could sort of sleep through it but not totally. Water source was a muddy hose that was also in the animal trough. A separate clean hose for guests not lying in the mud would have been appreciated.

A Little Piece of Paradise
We did tent camping with our four year old and 20 month old . All the animals are adorable and sweet , spring time saw lots of baby ducks and piggies .
I want to go into detail on the beautiful , healthy creek . We saw lots of toads and frogs and a large gar fish in one of the bigger blue water holes . Our favorite part besides the animals was hiking the creek bed and finding ample sandy banks for resting, shallow clear water for children to chase minnows and crawfish , and then some spot with deeper water for swimming holes. You can see right to the bottom in most places of the creek , it has a few areas where it rushes in a small incline for some beautiful pictures . In love with this place overall and will be back .
Had to cut our trip short early due to our preschooler spiking a fever and an ear ache , but we’re able to go straight from Hummingbird Hollow to urgent care in a short time . Thank you Susan !

Loved the animals!
I enjoyed my stay and loved waking up surrounded by the horses. The piglets and donkeys were adorable. My dog had a blast!

Hummingbird Hollow Farm Sanctuary
One of my favorite spots I’ve stayed at so far in MO! Susan is very kind & all of her animals are gentle and the overall vibe is very peaceful. We stayed in a little teardrop and the goats and horses loved to come say hi and sniff around it was a very fun and unique experience :) With the teardrop it was super easy to pull in, level enough we didn’t have to unhook, and plenty of room to turn around. Thank you so much for allowing us to spend time in your beautiful animal sanctuary 🥹💓
