Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months. There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. The "site 1" camping spot has a driveway that is hard-packed grass and is not gated. There is a small fire pit on the path by the river. There are areas under the trees both up top near the road and down near the path that are suitable for tents. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

Horse Lovers Paradise

This property is a 40 acre former horse ranch in Melrose Oregon. For horse enthusiasts we offer a covered barn with four matted stalls and plenty of storage for feed and tack. There is also a 50 foot round pen, a 200 foot outdoor open arena and plenty of trailer parking. Please add each horse as an extra during checkout. Price is $10 per horse per night for a covered, lit and matted stall. Roughly 10 acres of rolling hillside leads to a 1/4 mile long dirt road/trail that goes along a seasonal creek and year around shade. This is a wonderful spot for staying cool in the summer or camping along the creek in the winter. Our property is open to tent camping, RVs and group camping. We do have a porta potty and limited power and non-potable spring water available however, we do not have a dump station or trash cans. Please pack it in and pack it out. Plenty of room for group camping, seasonal fires allowed and a wonderful place to get away just 20 minutes outside of Roseburg located in the heart of Oregon wine country.

Shaded, adjacent to romantically lighted timber-frame private covered bridge (no traffic). Very secluded, but only 1/2 mile from I-5 (no freeway noise, though). Private "beach" area and kid-friendly water play area with wild creatures (turkey, deer, fish, crayfish, water striders, turtles, frogs, etc.). Picnic table, tent spots, and fresh water spigot. Short hiking trails (watch out for poison oak!). Best for tenting, smaller RV's, tree tents, or rooftop tents. >100 yards from nearest structure. 3 nights max except by private arrangement. NO smoking/vaping/marijuana. NO wood fires, but propane fire-ring is available -- bring your own propane tank or pay $5 extra to use my propane tank if available. Good cell service from Google Fi/USCellular. WiFi available on porch of owner's house by request.

Fishing, Boating & Rafting nearby at Gaylesville Reservoir, Rogue & Umpqua Rivers. We Cannot accommodate Trailers at this time. Campers & Vans not to exceed 25 feet in length, or tents are welcome. Check with us first about possibly bringing your well-behaved dog, however - DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BARK & CHASE THE WILDLIFE AT ALL. You may be asked to depart if there is an issue with this. Please understand this a Wildlife Sanctuary of sorts with LOTS of resident critters including birds, fox, squirrel, skunk, turkey, deer and yes-cougar! Hey there! I'm a single dad with 2 teen-kids, medical professional, who enjoys country living and sharing it with others. I've lived in far-Northern CA and Southern Oregon my whole life, except for school/training, so State of Jefferson is my home. We bought this land in 2017, when it was just brush, poison oak, and a rotten bridge. Learn more about this land:Campsite on 72 acres along beautiful Jumpoff Joe Creek. Shaded, adjacent to romantically lighted timber-frame private covered bridge (no traffic). Very secluded, but only 1/2 mile from I-5 (no freeway noise, though). Private "beach" area and kid-friendly water play area with wild creatures (turkey, deer, fish, crayfish, water striders, turtles, frogs, etc.). Picnic table, tent spots, and fresh water spigot. Short hiking trails (watch out for poison oak!). Best for tenting, smaller RV's, tree tents, or rooftop tents. >100 yards from nearest structure. 3 nights max except by private arrangement. NO smoking/vaping/marijuana. NO wood fires, but propane fire-ring is available -- bring your own propane tank or pay $5 extra to use my propane tank if available. Good cell service from Google Fi/USCellular. WiFi available on porch of owner's house by request.

Nestled on the bank of the North Umpqua River. Surrounded by oak savannas with access to the North Umpqua Habitat (BLM). This secluded rustic/primitive dry camp will accommodate Tent and RV set ups as well as horse camping, fishing, swimming, kayaking, with walking access to the North Umpqua River. You can also go hiking or horseback riding on over 7000 acres of BLM land. Only 12 miles to the city of Roseburg or Sutherland. Easy access from I-5. Guest note: we rotationally graze our cattle (while the campground is open for business) in the months of February/March/April/May/and early June. Message before booking if you want to know if the cattle are on the grounds when you wish to say. They are docile yet curious but pose no threat to campers.

When it comes to outdoor play, you find the most action on the Umpqua River. The emerald green waters are a paradise for steelhead fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and kayaking. Looking for campsites on the river Banks? Check out Stanton and Amacher County Parks. If you want to camp off the beaten path, head to Cavitt Creek Falls Recreation Site. Oregon summers are no big deal when you're keeping cool beneath a 10-foot waterfall. In Umpqua National Forest, scenic rapids, waterfalls, and mountain lakes take your breath away. Pitch a tent at Susan Creek Campground on the North Umpqua River, or park your RV at Poole Creek Campground near Lemolo Lake. Campers be warned— there's a big scramble for lakeside campgrounds in the summer. Book early to secure your spot. Once you're settled in, get stoked about biking the North Umpqua Trail, or hike to 272-foot Watson Falls. It doesn't matter whether you're staying at an RV park, a sunny vineyard, or a farmstead.
