Stay in one of our Native American Tipis, nestled into the forest next to the Winema National Forest. We have miles of hiking trails, and lots of wildlife in the way of birds, bunnys, chipmonks and the occasional deer and elk, and are across from the Pelican Butte mountains. Experience what few get to know- what it's like to be in a real Native American Tipi. Come experience the outdoors as Natives have lived. This isn't any airconditioned motel room- this is the real deal. Owners are Native American. An experience of a lifetime. Questions will be answered, info. available. Also a art gallery of their artwork is on site in the office. Come and enjoy! Their ranch, Heartline Ranch & Tipi Village is on Crater Lake Highway (Hwy 62) just 26 miles down from Crater Lake. They have designated 15 acres for a primitive Campgrounds and Tipi village sites. September of 2020 we were sadly effected by the Wildfire- TwoFourTwo which took 5 of our 6 tipis. We have been able to clean up, regrow and make ready for camping guests. We once again have 6 tipis, all beautiful, and in addition, 6 new camping sites for people with their own tents. Sorry, NO rv's (vans are allowed.) Its wonderful to see all the beautiful regrowth, and to see that most of our trees have regenerated. It is now once again a beautiful place to be. It is their love for this land and a desire to share the beauty and Native experience with others to led them to open up these campgrounds. There is 15 acres in the immediate campgrounds & 6 tipi sites and 6 camping sites for folks with their own tents, so LOTS of privacy. Our ranch has 250 acres of land, great hiking trails that you will have access to for hiking, next to the Winema National Forest, and connected to the Pacific Crest Trail. You will have space to enjoy this beauty. The owner's horses are rescue horses and are their own private property. Please do NOT feed them or go up to them without the owners being there. Horses have delicate stomachs. Our gentle giants are mellow but very big so please stay OUT of their pasture. You may help us during their feeding time, if you ask owners.

So clean & comfortable!
This campground was pristine! The porta-potty was the cleanest, best smelling porta-potty ever. The hosts were organized and attentive, but they let us keep to ourselves as well.

#2 Campsite-Bring your own tent
Good tent camping site, good directions, we were in site #2, the road noise from the road was pretty loud but trailed off in the evenings.

#2 Wild Mustang Tipi
Top of the tipi
Really grateful for the detailed welcome from Bob and Kori and the warm and personable welcome we got when we arrived. The tipi's are BIG, and I'd recommend the firewood option for the autumn/winter! The beds are comfortable and facilities safe and clean. Highly recommended!

Only as a last resort
The teepees here look fun but the campsites are very close together and not all contain a picnic table. In addition, the road noise did not stop all night so there was very little peace and quiet. The well water and shower was nice, though it should be known that the shower was inside a mobile porta potty turned shower, enough space for one. I would recommend this place only as a last resort, and instead go up the road 9 miles and check out other campsites that are much more peaceful and quiet.
