This off-the-grid tiny house is nestled on a 23 acre parcel at the end of a quarter-mile dirt road. The property itself is secluded but is less than 2 miles from the heart of Saranac Lake's downtown. This property is bordered by the Saranac River, the backside of Baker Mountain and State Forest. The only other building on the property is our timberframe which we may or may not be at during the time of your visit. The property does have private trails up to the cliffs on the backside of Baker mtn however, the Saranac River is down a steep embankment so it does not make for a good place to launch a boat (several public boat launches nearby). The Mt Baker tiny house is a great basecamp for hiking the Saranac Lake 6-ers, paddling/boating along the Saranac Chain of lakes or Saranac River, Mountain Biking at Dewey, Pisgah or other nearby BETA trails. IMPORTANT DETAILS: This tiny cabin is completely off the grid: no electricity, heat or cooling. Queen sized bed - we provide the linens. The driveway is narrow - so nothing in tow. Drinking water is provided via jug and dispenser. There is a brand new outhouse (no flushable toilet) We have a designated spot for campfires (smores are a must) There is an older propane grill outside for guest useThis is a newly built tiny cabin (10x16 interior) on a secluded 23 acre parcel. This peaceful cabin, nestled in the woods, is the perfect retreat after a beautiful day of hiking or biking. Relax on the deck and read a book or listen to the birds chirp. At night, build a campfire to roast smores or simply star gaze. Feel free to walk around and take in the beauty of this secluded property located just a mile from town.

Mt Baker Tiny Cabin
The cabin was a perfect combination of rustic and amenities. It was very peaceful and we loved being able to “camp” but also have a bed and grill! Close enough to town to pop over for coffee or groceries but the cabin still felt remote since you’re on the side of a mountain! Driving and parking was easy, the directions given were great. They also provided a lot of extras that helped a lot or that I could see people needing, like a first aid kit, bug spray, sanitized, etc. highly recommend!

Mt Baker Tiny Cabin
Beautiful and so private, exactly as described, the deck was beautiful, lots of mosquitoes but owners warned us and therms cell provided which help immensely. Definitely would recommend

Mt Baker Tiny Cabin
We loved our camping getaway here! Directions were clear and the cabin was clean, well stocked, and with a comfortable bed. Perfectly nestled in the woods with an awesome deck, grill, and fire pit with Adirondack chairs. Would highly recommend and we would love to stay here again sometime.

Mt Baker Tiny Cabin
Great location. Close to the village, but feels remote. We hiked Baker Mtn right from the cabin. We also brought a fold up table and Coleman stove to cook whatever we wanted on the deck, which was a great hang out spot. Loved the exterior solar lights and the interior lights were a plus for a non-grid cabin. Lots of natural light inside.

All was wonderful at the Tiny Cabin! Sara was happy to provide hiking ideas, the cabin was cozy and clean, and the grill worked perfectly for meals.
