Welcome to our small Farm and Inn, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County, Virginia. Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Enjoy an evening under the stars with fireflies and a campfire after a long day hike, fly fishing on one of our beautiful trout steams or touring the local vineyards and breweries. We currently offer one cottage and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway therefore can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm! Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries. A few offerings on the farm. Tasting in the 1850s Chestnut log cabin, tubing trips, breakfast and picnic lunches, Animal experiences and Yoga. Please inquire about renting the property for private small events.

Butterfly Camp: Near Shenandoah NP
Private and peaceful on a hilltop
This was a very peaceful and private camp site that was situated in the hills, and surrounded by trees. Maybe a little bit too hilly as there was no level ground. Host was responsive, with great directions on how to arrive and a long list camp rules. Overall experience was good, though we were disappointed with the outhouse "bucket" that needed to be bagged up after use.

Gypsy Camp Near SNP
Second visit!
Our second time at Gypsy Camp! We love Jennifer’s property. She’s really thought of all of the details to make a comfortable group campsite (large clean tent sites, subtle lighting along paths, a cool sink set-up with plenty of non-potable water, huge area around the fire pit/table, etc.). Our toddler loves visiting the animals at the farm. Absolutely recommend and will return. Jennifer is a great host.

Fiddlehead Camp near SNP
Jenn was very welcoming, and gave me a good lay of the land, along with some solid hiking trails in the area. The site was secluded, and yet had all the basic amenities a campground tent-site would have. Very clean, and a well maintained property across the board.

Sparrow Hammock Camp
Jennifer’s property was beautiful!! Campsite was pretty secluded but had a nice cleared out area to enjoy. Also included a little shower and dish washing station which was great. Loved seeing the animals/farm. Very clear directions were given! Just a heads up that the walk to Sparrow camp is very uphill and a little longer than expected so be mindful of all you will need to carry in. Would definitely stay again!!
