Very private wooded area in Brightwood with Sandy River frontage! Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the river rapids! No houses, RV's, or other humans are within view! Whether you are camping alone or with a group of 20, you get the whole camp to yourself. No strangers camping nearby or walking by you to get to their sites. Complete privacy! With a picnic table, firepit, and a very clean "deluxe" portable bathroom (water sink and LED light) on site, your basic camping needs are met. Trash and recycling bins are also present so there is no need to haul away your own trash. Need firewood, fishing gear, or groceries? The Brightwood Store is a short walk away along the riverfront, and has great prices and very friendly service. Skiing/snowboarding, hiking/biking trails, and everything else Mt Hood has to offer are all within a 20 minute drive. *More than 4 cars can be park on site, but it will take some planning and maneuvering. Especially if certain cars need to frequently leave the property and re-enter throughout your stay. *Vehicles over 25 ft will most likely not be able make the turn to be parallel with the river (river view) due to trees being in the way. However, they can be parked right before the turn, which is a few feet from the river. These longer RVs and vehicles will require backing up out of the gated entrance. *Property/site is accessible to wheelchair users, however there is no pavement. *The dirt road in is bumpy in areas due to large rocks sticking out of the dirt. Sports cars or cars with low ground clearance are not recommended. The path takes you right up next to the picnic tables, so the pics should give you a good idea of what to road conditions to expect.Only one site to reserve on this property for maximum privacy. Whether it's 1 person or a group of 20, you get the entire camp to yourself. No strangers camping next to you. There are two picnic tables that will seat up to 6 people each for a total of 12. There are many spaces throughout the property to pitch tents that are not pictured, but those areas are more "rough". The spots you see in the pics are the most ideal for setting up tents.

Eugene’s site is beautiful! It’s like having the perfect slice of forest all to yourself! It’s a gem! There’s a wonderful tree canopy that offers great shade but also lets the sun rays through just enough. The sound of the river was so relaxing and we had the perfect view right out our windows! We had great communication with Eugene. He was very quick to respond to all of our questions and make sure that we had clear directions. It’s so appreciated to have garbage and recycling cans so we’re not having to pack it out with us. Book this place!! You won’t be sorry!!

Perfect riverfront solitude

This campsite was everything I hoped it'd be! Very private so my reactive dog could enjoy being off leash, beautiful sounds of the river, fire pit, 2 picnic tables so we could spread out to cook and eat, plenty of level room for our 10-person tent, hammock trees, the convenience of a toilet (no smell issues at all), trash cans on-site, and the local general store just up the road. Plus, the host Eugene was really helpful and friendly in answering my questions and offering tips in the days leading up to our trip. He set a great tone from the start and we were so happy with our stay! Thank you - we'll be back!!
