We had a fine experience. It was peaceful and quiet. We had a fine place to park and enjoy the evening. We did not meet Damon that evening. It may not be for everyone as the property could use a little cleaning up but it did not affect our stay.

Pondside Camping Great for Birders!
My friend and I had such a nice time at Damon’s campsite! Waking up right next to the pond was so peaceful, and as birders we were stoked to see a green heron across the pond and to wake up to the songs of prothonotary warblers and Carolina wrens! Maybe it’s because of the time of year, but the mosquitoes weren’t as issue at all! We also got to meet the sweetest white cat who we nicknamed Little Egret <3. The drive to Damon’s property was beautiful, passing through a town where we got Starbucks the next morning, past mega mansions (gorgeous to look at but we feel for everyone else who have lived there since before the sprawl), and through scenic country roads with to die for cottages and cabins! Definitely would stay there again on my next road trip!

Privacy
Appreciated the privacy, electricity and level spot to park our van. Low score because the site really needs major clean up.

Park your own RV.
It was an easy drive and I had no trouble parking my camper van up front on Damon’s property…he already had an extension cord available and I could’ve built a fire in the fire pit but it already started to rain. It had everything I needed for a one night stay, thank you for opening up your property to me!

Near the river
A quiet spot close to the river. We came and went in less than 9 hours, so didn't do much exploring. Very private, we didn't meet anyone else. Good for a quiet night during a road trip.
