Trains helicopters and automobiles
We booked the site with the pond and the river access but the “road” was inaccessible in our car—unmowed, a tree leaning over it and swampy. It would have taken a Jeep or Land Rover to get in. No warning about this in the listing, in fact it is listed as an RV site. When we said we weren’t going to risk getting stuck, Katie made a condescending comment about us not understanding what wilderness camping means.
She did flex and offered us the woodsy site by the creek instead. It was pretty and no poison ivy but the train goes by less than a 100 feet away and blasts its horn almost hourly during the night. There’s also a hospital nearby with a helipad.
It wasn’t our worst camping experience, but we won’t be back.

My stay was excellent! I sent Katie my ETA and someone was there right away to show me to the site, then show me the best place to camp and how to get to the river- very easy and helpful. There was a great spot for a tent and campfire and the sunrise overlooking the pond was lovely. Would highly recommend!

So easy, such a great place! Katie met us, figured out we might want a different spot than the one we rented (for our purposes she was right on!) Easy to get to the highway, but so serene and safe. Would recommend to anyone! Great host!
