RV parking.he Writer’s Nest is the ancient refuge of stone quarrymen, built at the end of the 1800s, inside a stone quarry, dating back to the Roman Times and located in Faggeto Lario shore, on Lake Como. There lives the writer Giuseppe Guin who in that place, full of stories and legends, set his novels. At the bottom of the quarry, the overhanging rock still retains the signs of the stone quarrymen who worked there for centuries, drawing stones from the mountains to build homes and churches of Lake Como. The space On the lakeside, the grassy beach is enclosed by the characteristic circular stepped rocks, used in the past by the fishermen of twaite shads and perchs. "The Writer's Nest": an exclusive place to enjoy the charm of a centuries-old history. A reserved corner, where you can enjoy unique moments of well-being, enjoying the tranquillity of the lake and listening to the silence of its sunrises and sunsets. "The Writer's Nest", is one hundred and twenty square meters, includes two double rooms with private bathroom each, one single room and wooden and glass veranda with lake view. The library was built using centuries-old chestnut wood boards, set in stone. The living room, with antique furniture, with the old kitchen and the sink carved into the granite, is carved between the square stones of the quarry. The room, called “Bilancia” (Scales), overlooks the lake and from the windows, salt the lapping of the waves that break on the rocks. The room, called “Lanterna” (Lantern), dominates the laurel forest and takes a look at the natural amphitheater, shaped in the rock. The wooden doors open with ancient bolts saved in the houses of the village and the lights filter through hand-forged old iron lanterns. Around, there are three thousand square meters of lawn and forest, concealing from a stone wall from one side and towards the lake by a grassy beach.

Yurt & Treefort
What a wonderful gem! The place is HUGE! The Treefort is MASSIVE! It’s quiet, relaxing, CLEAN, and it’s a great way to get away from all of the hustle. Close to a plethora of Resturant’s, close enough yet far enough from the highway entrance. Didn’t feel like anyone was around, yet the host was very fast to respond. 10/10 experience

Mostly good, could use some love
Yurt was clean and a beautiful place to sleep for a low rate. We did unfortunately experience a few inconveniences. We didn’t really factor in being able to hear traffic and anyone outside late at night. The shower had no hot water, there was no propane for the grill and the outside picnic table and tree fort was not swept/cleaned off. Host was not ready for check in at 2 as listing stated she requested we come after 3. We waited till 4 and still had not received check in instructions. We were able to eventually reach her and gain access. Also listing did not mention that she has a house that is another rental (airbnb) sharing outside space with us. Mostly good but a few things that could be improved.

Pictures don’t even do it justice!! We had the best time on our trip to this yurt! I had no idea what to expect and I was surprising my husband for his birthday! Let me just tell you, as soon as you unlock the door you are taken away to a magical and peaceful retreat with just you and your guest! We loved that there was no tv, but the sound at hooked right up to our phones and the sound system was awesome to just listen to music on. We were also lucky enough to get a late night storm that drowned out all the other sounds and was just the best to fall asleep to! A/c mini split keeps you cool, there’s a coffee maker, fridge and hot plate! What else do you need!? 12/10 recommend!

Beautiful Yurt
Loved the rain falling on the roof of this place. The yard has plenty of space and you have a grill and fur place for nice days.
