Enjoy an elevated camping experience on a private creek near Max Patch, a popular hiking destination with 360 degree views adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. Surround yourself in nature, escape reality and relax with the sounds of babbling creeks and birds chirping. The property is at 3,600 ft elevation and is typically 10 degrees cooler than Asheville and Waynesville, so bring a sweater! Parking is available in the host driveway. The camping area is across the road, down 10 stone steps. Renters have exclusive, private access to this area, as well as a half bath and refrigerator in the first floor barn area of the host house. The property is located adjacent to Pisgah National Forest and near the Harmon Den Bear Sanctuary. Wildlife sitings are uncommon, however all types of wildlife live in the area.16 x 10 camping platform overlooking a babbling creek and fire pit. Renters have exclusive access to the creek areas as well as a half-bath and refrigerator at main house. Immerse yourself in nature, but with the comforts of home. Less than 30 mins from Max Patch Trail Head and the Appalachian Trail, 35 mins from Downtown Waynesville and Canton, 1 hour from Asheville. There are 2 private roads on either side of the campsite but traffic is minimal. There are 2 active honey bee hives on the property, so those with an allergy should be aware.

So cozy
What an amazing spot! The deck is amazing for putting the tent on and it's right next to the creek. I wish we would have planned on staying for more than just one night, but we live in WNC so we’ll be back!

Creekside Camping Max Patch
Property dogs are awesome
Jess was an awesome host! We loved camping on her property and Jess made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Our dogs were able to run around off leash and spent most of the weekend playing with Jess’s dogs (Clyde and Tigress are so sweet) and swimming in the creek. We had the most relaxing trip and would have stayed longer if it didn’t start thunder storming! We’ll definitely be back!

perfect base camp
This is such a great campsite way up in the mountains. It is about 45 minutes from asheville and is along a quiet dirt road. The site is located across the road from the hosts house and is hidden down by the creek. There is a large platform for your tent and there is a nice fire ring with chairs. There is a path though the woods that takes you to another patio seating area next to the stream. There is a bathroom in the garage and even access to a refrigerator if you need to keep your food cold. Max Patch and so many more trails and mountains are close by making this the perfect basecamp. The host was very kind and mede me feel welcomed. Definitely a 10/10 site

Creekside Camping Max Patch
We loved camping on Jess’s land! She was an amazing host with a beautiful property!!! It was secluded and peaceful! She made sure we had everything we needed and was amazing!! We already want to make plans to stay again!!
