A few acres of natural land. There is a seasonal creek running through the area. It's a very quiet area. It's primitive, natural and we love it that way. The creek runs into the Cleveland national forest and down to the Mesa Grande Indian reservation. There is hiking and exploring! Come throw a tent up in one of the two camp sites or a hammock in the trees.. Hike the nature preserves in Santa Ysabel. Go to Wynola enjoy craft beverages, Josie's live music off the 76. Or just enjoy the peacefulness of the forest here and hike and reset your mind. The top 13 are residential, the bottom 40 will be open for exploring, camping, hiking and gardening! We are new homesteaders trying to do things more organically and real free range for our animals. We have a farm on the top 13 acres with cows, pigs, goats, sheep and chickens. More animals will come soon. We will eventually like to offer food from our farm to our guests. That way they can actually see where the food comes from and how ours raised!

Certainly a great wilderness spot for those wishing to camp off the grid! However, travel light as the route from vehicle to camping sites is an interesting one!

I loved staying at Ea's place. She was very prompt when messaging and very responsive We were greeted by her sons at the gate very nice guys and showed me around the area for us to stay at. He offered us to go up to the house if we needed anything, which we didn't and we were left alone to enjoy the peace and tranquility of their place. The creek that runs along the camping sites is beautiful, very quite for the most part. There is an area that is close to the road and you can see the cars driving by but still was nice. We moved to the other area the second day to have more privacy and was just perfect. Loved the place, we will most likely be back again in the future.

Camping in the forest!
Ea was exceptional in hosting us. We were given access to the campsite and the weekend was lovely. We went swimming which was a great experience. Make sure to bring your water and preferably a portable toilet if you are going for tent campsites. At nights and in the morning, there are a lot of bugs, so pack accordingly. Grilling is a thrill in the campsite. There is a little hike to the campsite which will cross like a small stream of water. So pack light if possible otherwise be ready to do some lifting around. Rest assured, you will love this place. It is very peaceful and safe, don't worry about a thing.
