Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
My family has owned the ranch since 1977. We bought it from my parents a few years ago to keep it in the family. We love living here, and although it is just the two of us working it, we are slowly getting it to what we want it to be. The house we live in is over 100 years old and used to be a stage coach stop back in the late 1800's to early 1900's, You can still see some of the old stage coach roads on the property, and we are trying to preserve those the best we can. Also in the early 1900's this ranch used to be the place to go on the fourth of July. People from all over would bring their prize horses to compete in a horse race for the name of the fastest horses around While others would bring picnic baskets to set back on the knoll in one of our fields to watch. It was so incredibly beautiful and peaceful! She was an amazing host and so friendly. We got to meet her emus and horses and she even gave us an emu egg! We were able to see the northern light and the mountains. There was a bonfire pit with wood and a bathroom and lots of space to put a tent or rv! I definitely plan to come back!

Peaceful, great views and well kept
The camping area has incredible views and isn't too far off the road so it's super easy to access for vans/campers. The road is EXTREMELY quiet so you won't even notice it. They had trash bins, a toilet and fire rings, and picnic tables which was a plus. Every morning we woke to many birds, a distant cow moo-ing and rustling wind. The campground is about an hour drive total from hiking in the Painted Hills and John Day fossil beds -beautiful drive through the area though to get there. Definitely recommend, it's a great spot!

Nice pretty place. Several sites, but I was the only person there the night I stayed. Nicely done toilet set up, and firewood available.

Great site.
This site was amazing! Beautiful views and kind and helpful host. It was our favorite site on a 4 day camping trip. We were in a westfalia camper. There is a toliet, tables, and fire rings. My family of 4 wants to come back. Also near painted hills, fossil beds, etc.
