!! As of May 30th, 2024, new booking requests for 4D will not be accepted for this camping season. Sorry for any inconvience. Stay tuned for more details. !! Come relax and enjoy the amazing energy at Four Directions Retreat. We offer beautiful and shaded campsites and a tiny cabin that will be sure to please. We also have an amazing outdoor stage nestled at the bottom of a natural amphitheater that is perfect for a variety of entertaining needs. When not playing corn hole, disc golf or other yard games, our friendly little goats are known for putting on a show of their own just to get loves and scratches from our guests. Our beautiful property features a healthy 45+ year old Douglas Fir forest and a spacious meadow which is stunning in the spring with wild grasses and beautiful flowers. During the summer, you can take a break from the heat and relax amongst the huge ferns, Fir, Alder and Cedar trees and enjoy a variety of delicious berries found all over the property. You may also want to stretch your legs and take a leisurely walk along some of the old logging roads or give yourself a push along a forested hiking trail. Using mostly reclaimed materials, we built a stage great for entertainment (concerts, weddings, movie nights, etc... ), an outdoor event kitchen, and most importantly - the three composting outhouses strategically located to best accommodate our guest's basic needs. We also have a gorgeous Bathhouse available for a nominal fee to recoup the costs of waste disposal. Check out our 4D Full Property Booking if you are planning an event and would like a private place to host your celebration, gathering, or concert. Caterers love the outdoor event kitchen! We are happy to answer your questions and share our experiences with large events to help with your decision making process. The 4D Tiny Cabin includes a large space with a basic camp kitchen, fire pit, picnic table and space for a few tents (depending on size) for additional family or friends. We have 12 traditional camp sites that include picnic tables and fire pits that are spaced well apart to provide more privacy than you would ever get at a standard county, state or federal campground. Important to know: 1) A handful of the camp sites can accommodate up to 24 foot in length RV's and trailers pulled by a 4x4, camper vans, or trucks with campers. 2) Please reach out to us if you have additional questions about which sites would be best and why we insist on having a 4x4 pulling a trailer. 3) Also, overloaded minivans also have difficulties making it up the hill, but we can help. If that isn't enough, we are located close to many areas of interest. If you like disc golf, Trojan Park is only 8 minutes away. You can also jump in the water at a several County Parks along the mighty Columbia River which are about 10 minutes away. You can also take a dip in the picturesque Beaver Falls, a stunning 20-minute drive through the country followed by a short hike. If adventure "on the water" is more your thing, then you can always take a kayak around Scappoose Bay which is a 30-minute drive from 4D. Lastly, historic Astoria, Oregon and the Pacific Ocean is only one hour away. You can find out more interesting things about Four Directions Retreat on Facebook and TikTok.

Clover Cove: must stay!
My partner and I decided to escape Seattle for the long weekend, we were pleasantly surprised at the quality and cleanliness of this tent camping site. Nicole and Kris were incredibly welcoming and helpful hosts and their land is so gorgeous we got to walk around the property, say hi to the goats, and always had firewood accessible from the owners. We appreciated our stay, would definitely recommend you check It out. Serene, private, great composting toilet, everything you need for a great weekend.

Group Site #2 - Sunset
CAMP HERE!!!!
Nicole and Kris have beautiful land that made it perfect for our group to camp at. The directions for pulling up to the site were very clear, the bathrooms were very nice for compostable toilets, and the hikes around the area were so fun to do. Firewood offered really helped us out as well!! They had lots of other activities as well including cornhole, ladder toss, petting goats and chickens. We will definitely be back! Close to the city, far enough in the mountains to feel very secluded. G2 Sunset was definitely very private, so if you wanted that, choose this site. Nothing but amazing things to say about this experience. Thank you to Nicole and Kris!!!

Four Directions is a great venue for a group event. We were their first group of the season and we could tell they worked hard to get it "unwinterized" for us. Everything looked fabulous! The kitchen was clean and better equipped than what we predicted. The campground is gorgeous. Kris was fabulous to work with, both during the event and in the communication leading up to the event. We hope to return next year.

Great forest getaway
The grounds and camping areas were clean and well maintained. I ended up staying at Cedar since the campers there cancelled their trip. I enjoyed the vegetation and walking to the kitchen area and stage/meadow through the woods was a nice stroll. I took several pictures since I am in the process of getting backyard habitat certification and there were some nice groupings. A retired dragon boat on site was a great bit of nostalgia for me. I went as a guest of the Portland Lesbian Choir and there was enough space for group activities as well as spending time in your own site. Composting toilets throughout the site were in good shape. I checked out the beautiful shower house but didn't take a shower because I had to cut my trip short and leave Saturday afternoon instead of staying my second night.
