Several sites are available next to our quaint little pond, or on the ridge overlooking the pond. Campers can also choose to camp in one of the nearby aspen groves, or even in the towering pines on the upper side of the property (the pine sites require HIKING to access). Each site provides its own unique beauty, mostly with an amazing view of the west side of Pikes Peak in the distance. Guests can relax around our small pond or roam freely around our 35-acre property. There is both hiking and fishing at Badger Creek only a short drive away. Waugh Mountain State Trust Land is another hiking option and is also just a short drive up the road (*NOTE: the State of Colorado now requires a valid hunting/fishing license to access state trust lands)! Additionally, we are about 45-90 minutes away from a variety of alternative adventures! Some of these include Salida, Cripple Creek, Eleven Mile Reservoir, Paradise Cove Swimming Hole, Florissant Fossil Beds, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, Manitou Incline, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience, several rafting/zipline and Jeep tour companies, Westcliffe, Bishop Castle and Canon City including Skyline Drive, Tunnel Drive, Royal Gorge Train, Museum of Colorado Prisons and The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey. This trip was amazing. We were greeted by Tim and Lori when we first entered the campsite. They showed us around the campsite and gave us additional supplies to make our experience rememberable. The land was beautiful and the hospitality was fantastic. Would come here again and recommend to other people.

My husband and I had an amazing time at this camping location! The views were beautiful all the way through. Everything was kept up and maintained. Tim and Lori were so sweet and very informative. They greeted us when we arrived and the cherry on top Lori made us amazing homemade cookies! We would recommend this place to any of our friends and family. We will be back for sure!

(Site 5) Whispering Pines up the Mt
We tent camped for one night here. Tim and Lori were such kind and helpful hosts, giving us an overview of their property and lake, providing fish food for the pond, treats for our dog, and fresh homemade cookies. The site itself is on a gorgeous piece of land with an incredible view of Pikes Peak in the east, and lots of rolling hills with pines to wander through. the drive took 3 hours from Denver, the last few being on dirt road, but scenic and well maintained. Our Forester made it up to the site without issue. We had excellent weather and built a fire in their fire pit, and used the bucket of water they provided to douse it. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Great campsite by the pond!
My family had a great stay at Tim & Lori’s. Lori was very communicative before with detailed directions on how to get to the property. It was easy to find. Lori had a little activity bag put together for my 4 year old son, which he loved, fish food, and homemade cookies. We got fresh eggs from their chickens. The spot is right near the pond with great views of Pike’s Peak. The ground was pretty level so we didn’t have to do much to level our pop-up camper. Their house is just up the hill from the pond and two campsites, but there are enough trees that it still felt somewhat secluded from their house. There is an outhouse with a cassette toilet that they cleaned out. We brought our own but it was nice to know they had one available. We walked our dogs around the property and saw deer in the field next door. We would definitely recommend Tim & Lori’s place to people coming to the area and have already thought about camping there again with some friends. It’s a 40 minute drive to Cañon City and the Royal Gorge. We drove home on CR-9 to 285 and it was so pretty, very little traffic for it being a holiday weekend.

Amazing!
Tim and Lori were the best! Like coming home and visiting your mom and dad. They made sure everything was perfect when you got there. Gave us a full run down from weather report to fishing report. Places to hike as well. It was such a quite beautiful place. Will definitely go back!
