Your private Yurt in the woods -2 miles to town! Come experience the Beauty of the Sierra foothills and the Yuba river in our Yurt tucked into the forest just 2 miles from downtown Nevada city. With a natural creek right outside your door and hiking trails right off the deck, this serene and beautiful yurt retreat awaits you. Claw foot bath tub, fire pit and large deck to relax on. Wood fired stove inside with plenty of wood stacked to keep you warm. Small functional kitchen with a hot plate, toaster oven, micro sink and fridge. We have a wood fired hot tub on-site. It requires a fire to be lit and maintained to keep it hot. During the winter the yurt is heated with a wood fired stove. It takes a few hours to warm up, and needs to be maintained during your stay to keep the place toasty. There is a lovely wood stove and plenty of firewood for you to use! The Queen bed has a heating blanket to help keep you cozy throughout the night. The hot tub Is wonderful in the winter, it is wood fired and takes several hours to heat as well.

Bugs Ruined our weekend getaway

As much as I understand how difficult it can be to control the critters and wildlife due to the yurt being in such a remote, dense forest location, but having that many spiders, spider webs and uncontrolled mosquito population, just doesn’t feel like glamping. The tiki torches that were onsite weren’t filled and the large amounts of bug repellent that we had brought just wasn’t enough. We arrived to the site and fought the bugs for about two hours and left.

Easy to find, wonderful emmenities, felt clean safe and secure. Next time I’d spend 2 nights rather than just one but that’s all that was available.

Pure Magic

This is a beautiful spot. A little slice of paradise if you ask us! We had a terrific time, the yurt is fully stocked and wonderful. It was so nice having the composting toilet and the showers, the outdoor one was fantastic before and after a dip in the hot tub. This time of year I can attest that the weather was perfect BUT bring some type of bug repellent, the mosquitoes were crazy! Really loved it, definitely coming back. The trails were well maintained, the streams around the property were the perfect background for a relaxing long weekend. I highly recommend!!!

Loved it.

It was a gorgeous and very peaceful stay. Very close to the neighbouring towns for cute shopping and good food. Loved everything about it.

Magical is correct.

The property is absolutely amazing and the site we stayed was beyond words. The pictures in the listing do it no justice. The effort out into this hideaway in the woods shows the love Nathan and his family have for their land. Every detail is thought out if they were going to be staying there. If you are looking for a serene oasis in the woods book with them you will not be disappointed. The bed was cozy and warm like being at home. There is an outdoor shower and the kitchen is everything you need. 5 stars for sure would give more though! Surprise visits by their dog Ollie and kitty were the chefs kiss to our weekend joy.

Magical Yurt in the woods - 2 miles

The land was so beautiful and rich with nature. Nathan’s dog was so friendly and even played with my dog often. Close to Nathan’s house, but never felt that close and we were never bothered. Hoping to come again soon.
