Nico's Getaway Trip
I had such an amazing time at Autonomy Farms campsites. I wanted a quick getaway from the city of LA and this property that Meredith, the owner, has created is so pretty and unique. It almost feels as though time is sitting still whilst you lounge around the lake that centers around the farm. The small lake was my favorite part about the trip but I also have to bring up how sweet and loving her dogs were on the property. The white furred mother and daughter were so cute. And the pitbull even slept by my tent all night which made me feel safe since I was the only person my first night. I wish I knew the dog's names. I got to take some pictures and explore the property a bit. They even include canoes for the lake but I was too afraid to do it alone, next time.
I would definitely recommend checking this place out and staying for a night or two. I already plan on coming back some time with my girlfriend. Its a perfect little getaway if you wanna enjoy a bit of the farm life as well as nature, the wind, and silence. I will say though that at night, the frogs get really loud and I had a hard time sleeping even with earplugs and sleep meds. I knew this coming into it though, but its just a heads up that certain times of year the frogs mating can get loud. Other then that I love this place and will definitely return. Meredith was super helpful and welcoming and responsive to all my questions. I really liked how down to earth she was. Thank you Meredith!

I had a great experience camping on Meredith's land at the farm. It was just right for the first night on a two week road trip. The views are spectacular. The directions were clear. Everything you have read is correct about the friendly dogs.
One of the reasons I chose this spot was the facilities: toilet + shower. Working up to dry camping.
I was glad I had included ear plugs as there are highway and normal farm working noises happening -- this is not a criticism, just reality. Being able to camp on private land is awesome. I felt totally safe!

Lovely place!
We were absolut positivity surprised of this lovely spot near Bakersfield. Meredith created a great island for visitors on her organic farm. The contact with her was very friendly. We were lovely welcome by the dogs (they are really cute and friendly and enjoy contact). Our kids loved them and we enjoyed the little lake for a kayaking and stand up Paddeling as well as swimming. And by the way the toilets were so clean and nice! Even a solar- warm water shower was available. We were on our way back from Yosemite with our Van and we could not imagine a better place for an overnightstay.

Amazing Farm Oasis stay
Beautiful and safe place to stay in a quiet area off the grid. The dogs are super friendly and cute as can be! The bull dog will happily accept any and all the belly rubs you have to give! Potable water was very nice and the little lake is spectacular. The bathroom was clean and the outdoor shower was nice and hot! 11/10 recommend if you need a place to stay in the area.

Meredith’s directions were super easy to follow, we felt very safe during our stay. We loved walking around the property, the bathroom was very clean, and it was great sitting under the lights on the shared patio area. Bonus: the dogs were super sweet and friendly, and came to greet us a few times throughout our stay.

Campsite #4 is very nice and closest to the bathroom and shower so it's convenient. We love the friendly dogs! Meredith also came to say hi which is very nice thing to do as a host.
