Site 2 - Gravel RV sites *big rig friendly*
This site was perfect for our needs during a stay for a Chapel Hill wedding. Easy drive to town and back. It was quiet and the hookups were easy to set up.
Site 2 is big rig friendly and is a pull through (although it stormed before we left, so we backed out instead to not risk getting tires stuck in mud).
Site 1 is adjacent so depending on your setup and level of privacy needs, keep that in mind. We felt we had enough space to walk around with our dog, while the other site was able to do the same with theirs at other times.
Will definitely keep this site in mind when visiting the area again.

In the forest
There are only 2 spaces at HH. We had Space 2. It's beautiful, with easy access. There is no dump, but we only stayed one night so it wasn't an issue. I feel as tho the rate was a little high. Still, it's a pretty place to stay.
Only issue I had was not being able to find an address for the campground. The text I received said I could download a map but the link took me to the Holt's site, not a map. So I texted Morgan, who gave me the info I needed.
Thanks Morgan!

Site 1 gravel
We had a nice, quiet weekend camping here. It was just as advertised.

Quiet and private property with lots of natural beauty.
Site 1 gravel
Okay for RV's.
Site one is on the road frontage. It is a dead-end road but busy during the day. There are about 8 - 10 mailboxes at the entrance to the site. Several people stopped out front of the site to pick up mail and stare into the site in wonder. Given no privacy from the road it was a bit concerning. As such, leaving the site unattended is an unknown risk.
Site one is without shade. It was 90 degrees with full sun on our stay.
The site was oppressively hot. As such, we packed up and did not stay a second night as planned and paid for.
There is a constant loud noise in the neighborhood. It sounds much like an industrial compressor and runs all day. It is off-putting if you are looking for quiet.
The sites are clean with electric hook-ups and water spigot. As noted you must bring your own privy. The area is peaceful after dinner time and through the night. Easy to access and right near Jordan Lake.
Not great to tent camp. Good for RV's with AC's.
Okay spot for an overnight or being able to pull away with all your gear and return for the night. Bring your own firewood.
3.5 Stars.
