Camp Wilder (Entire Property)
Campsite inaccessible at times
We were really excited to see the camp grounds, but the road being completely snowed in made it impossible to stay there. We booked the entire site so that we would have the indoor option for our group in case the weather was poor - a common potential for early May camping in Colorado! So we felt prepared, but the final .4 mile stretch of road to the site was more like a fully snowed in trailhead. For people traveling from out of town /out of state it may be helpful to receive more up to date info on if the campsite is accessible or not! The road in was very narrow and rocky through the forest. The listing says four wheel drive is recommended but I might also suggest that it be required! Just so people don’t get out there and find themselves stuck half a mile away from the campsite.

NEVERLAND Cabin Wilder
Really enjoyable little spot! The wood stove was a nice touch and we appreciated all the supplies inside. It was easy to find and check in was smooth. Would recommend bringing a lantern/headlamp as there are some inside but they are out of batteries. Overall, a nice stay!

NEVERLAND Cabin Wilder
The cabin was as described and pictured. This time of year was able to enjoy both sunrise and sunset with the amazing view! The wood stove kept things toasty and even when the wind howled outside, it didn’t blow in.

NEVERLAND Cabin Wilder
A nice little weekend getaway
I went into this Hipcamp location with little expectations. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The best way I can describe this property is like a small hunters cabin that borderlines glamping. It’s extremely basic, yet private and offers sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. If you are someone who enjoys camping and being outside but isn’t picky about amenities and luxuries, this is a perfect spot for you.
The structure comfortably sleeps 2-3 people. I would suggest bringing your own pillows and sleeping bags/blankets because the bedding provided is minimal and it gets very chilly at 10k feet. Plenty of trees for hammocking, proper fire pit, a picnic table and a cool 2-person bench swing. It’s really neat spot.
My only critique would be that the cabin needs a good deep clean, a coat of paint and some new windows. With a few days of work and maybe $300, the host could make this into a really cozy, hip space. It has great potential.

Great view! Stove flue pipe had a big leak in it inside cabin so it got really smokey inside.
NEVERLAND Cabin Wilder
Beautiful view - Peaceful and private location. Had some trouble with the wood burning stove and the cabin got very smokey every time we fed the fire. We did read the instructions throughly and still had issues. Pack like you are camping in a tent.
Stargazing was 10 out of 10. Great place overall for an outdoor camping style experience.
