16ft yurt #1
I rented the small yurt for one night. It was sparse, but clean with tiny lights around the interior for nighttime. The property is huge, and very beautiful. It is situated in a lush valley below the mountains, so the views are outstanding. As a woman traveling alone, I was reasonably comfortable on my own there. The host gave me instructions, then left me alone to do my thing. He was friendly, very talkative, but caring. He even brought me a propane heater for the cold night, a very kind gesture. As it was only me and a couple staying that night, I thought it was odd that he chose to place their camper van right near me. They literally could have gone anywhere on this huge ranch, but were placed about 20 feet from my yurt. I would have loved more privacy under the circumstances, and less noise. Other stuff: I really think cleaning up the property could make this a better experience for future visitors. I found that there was a just lot of random crap lying around everywhere. A broken down car near the pond. The “kitchen area” was mostly tables with piles of random junk, and not really useable… etc. The bathroom was clean, and large. I had some privacy concerns though. The door to the woman’s bathroom has a glass window, so guys going to the men’s right next door could easily see in. As well, the doors on the stalls are too small for the opening. Meaning while you are on the toilet, anyone can see you.

Would recommend!
Great experience! Spencer and Ted were so friendly and accommodating. The yurt was clean and spacious! Restrooms and showers were also clean. We were very impressed with everything. They also gave us recommendations on hikes to do which was also nice! We would definitely stay again!

Rv site #2
Sunsets and swimming
We stayed two nights with our camper van and rooftop tent (two adults, two kids). We loved the spot nestled under the ridge and looking down the valley (perfectly angled for sunsets). The pitch was a great size and very well spaced out. The pond was a great place to hang out and swim - and to borrow the canoes/pedalo. The facilities are also spot on. Spencer has added loads of thoughtful touches including a trampoline and bunch of toys for the kids. Ted bringing his owl along was also a highlight. Thanks guys for the great stay! 10/10
